TSB – TP Alphaland

Nakasama ako sa Wave 1 ng Telstra Small Business and sa Octagon pa ang training namin nun, that was way back Dec. 2010.

Baler

Two more days to go and I’ll be leaving for Baler. I’ll stay there for 3 days then be back here in Manila on the 27th.

Just spent this afternoon buying things that I need to bring to my brother who’s studying in ASCOT (Aurora State College of Technology), like kalan de gaas, pot, pan, ladle and etc.

I don’t have enough budget to go around and check mostly visited tourist spots, but one thing is for sure, I’ll definitely go to the beach everyday. I’ll also try to buy fish and cook it myself 🙂

11/28/2015

I took the 4:30 am Genesis bus bound to Baler last 11/24/15. Just went home immediately after my 11/23/15 shift and packed my bags and my brother’s things. I arrived there just before lunch time but I’m not able to go around due to headache. My brother arrived that evening from his boarding house near ASCOT and we went to the beach together. It’s not allowed to swim on the beach from 7pm to 5am so we just spent our time watching the waves. It also started to drizzle due to the low pressure area.

The next morning we went to the market and bought toiletries, groceries and rice before we went to his school.

Here’s the very beautiful view of Sierra Madre and Pacific Ocean.

Yung mga susunod na photos eh kuha sa Diguisit Beach way back Dec. 30, 2011 if I’m not mistaken. Family day namin sa church yan.

Peace 😀 😀 😀

The next photos were taken by a photographer in Baler.

Asian Institute for Distance Education (AIDE)

I’ll try not to write about the details that was already provided by Wikipedia and from other blogs. I’ll write about my experience as an AIDE student.

I’ve found out about AIDE from a pinoyexchange comment (I just can’t find the link), advising call center agents who still wish to finish college to check out this school. I’ve immediately called and inquired about the enrollment process.

I enrolled last May 2015 and shifted from AB Psychology in JRU to BSBA Major in Management. I’m a full-time employee and enrolling 21 units is very challenging. I thought I have to finish all the modules and final exams within that 4 month period. Good thing, I just have to finish the modules within 4 months and as long as I passed the module tests, I’ll have another 4 months to take the final exams. The bad side there is that I won’t be able to enroll again unless I decided to drop the subjects that I haven’t taken the finals yet.

The tuition fee there is very affordable. In case you’re like me who can’t pay the tuition in full, you can choose between a 2 or 3 installment plan. Of course, it’s still best to pay it in full, because like other schools, you’ll get a discount if you do.

UPDATE 03-27-2016

I’ve passed all my 7 subjects and enrolled again last February.

I have until June to finish all my modules. The subject that I’m kinda problematic right now is Taxation because it doesn’t have any module test and the weight of the final exam is 70%. I’m glad I was able to answer mostly of my module tests that I have now. I still have 2 modules left since I wasn’t able to pay the final installment needed for this semester.

UPDATE 06-08-2016

They only have a month extension now for the final exams and submission of modules, so I only have until July 2 to finish every thing. There’s also an increase of the fees but it’s still affordable. The modules are getting more and more difficult as well, so it’s really important to have a good time management skills for those working students like me.

I don’t know if they increased the fee for 2017 since I haven’t been able to enroll yet but I’m hoping that it’s still the same. I failed to take my finals for at least 3 subjects the last time that I’ve enrolled, so that means I’ll have three failed subjects on my transcript.
