I was supposed to do Chasing Waterfalls in Siniloan, Laguna but it was canceled since there’s a huge part of the group who canceled their reservation. SheenTours just informed me a day before the event and I can’t accept the fact that I’ll just stay home on the 17th. I was so bitter that I wasn’t able to register for the NatGeo Run and no ticket to watch Miss Philippines Universe on the same day, that’s why I really really need to go somewhere.
I immediately pm’ed and texted Traveling Adventure and asked what event they had that has a remaining slot and when they informed me that it was Pico de Loro. I paid the fee through BPI right away.
After my shift on the 16th, I had my checkup in St. Luke’s and attended WS and I haven’t had enough time to buy the things that I need to bring and even trail food.
I bought gloves on my way home for only 35 pesos and a hat for 75 pesos.
Here’s the photo of my bag with all the stuffs inside.
1.5 liters of water
2 extra shirt
1 pair of underwear
prickly heat powder
phone and charger
↓ My selfie before I leave.
Farmers Plaza – meeting place of Traveling Adventure for their trips to Mt. Romelo and Mt. Maculot. Ours was in front of Puregold Market.
We left Farmers at around 4:30 and arrived in Pico de Loro after 2 hours.
I had my breakfast first in one of the carenderias there before we start. A guide is not required so I assumed that it’s just easy. I prefer to hike alone so I walked fast enough to get away from the rest of the group.
A very nice view of the creek at the start of the climb.
THE FACE – hahaha… super tired but obviously enjoying it.
Had a hard time catching my breath.
THE ADDICT LOOK
Love the view of the mountain. Too bad the quality of the photo was not good.
There it was, looking so near yet still far.
